What I mean is that if the economy were roaring along and the deficit was being whittled down then clowns like sharon and Dana may have a point. These tax cuts were sold as a sure-fire bet to get the money flowing and they’ve failed miserably.

I’ll wager that I pay more taxes than anybody here, not bragging just saying, and my most compelling reason for voting Obama is that Republicans habitually lie about how their tax plans will benefit the taxpayer. Reagan had the courage of his convictions on this issue, though he ran the economy into the ground on it; neither Bush nor McCain will actually give me any tax relief, and their supporters know it. Obama might.
