Photographer sees his photo cropped to focus on Dick Cheney cutting steak, goes on a rant about “journalistic integrity,” because the image of Dick Cheney cutting steak “implied something sinister, macabre, or even evil.” Of course, Dick Cheney smelling flowers could imply “something sinister, macabre, or even evil.”

In the updated post, Newsweek offers to point out the obvious, but it doesn’t dissuade the man. I guess his original interpretation is simply beyond reproach…and nobody can ever crop a picture of Dick Cheney again. And all photos must include Cheney’s shoes, else it be implied that he walks with cloven hoof.

I don’t think I know a single gay person right now. Well, there are my lesbian and transgender cousins, but…I dunno. My wife and her family have a pretty far-ranging social circle, I work with tons of people…but nobody talks about it on the job, even the gay people. This must be how they threaten your marriage: by stealth. I hear ya sneakin’ out there! YOU CAN’T HAVE MY MARRIAGE I AM BETTER THAN YOU!
