Terrific Russian-Georgian conflict blog.

James Sturcke of the Guardian pilots a blog dedicated to the Russian-Georgian conflict that is very informative.

I’ll have to do some surfing later to find out how the wingnuts are coming along in their blaming of The Librulz ™ for the invasion of Georgia by Russia. It must be rough going considering that Putin is using the exact same rhetoric as we did before our invasion of Iraq.

I see Dana is wasting no time in blaming NATO.

Shock.

This situation certainly highlights the lack of the Bush administration’s effectiveness in leveraging American foreign policy goals. All the man can do is look solemn and make empty gestures. And please realize folks that these are the actions of a true aggressor and not those of a bunch of Arabs trying to find reverse in a Russian tank in the desert. George Bush was glad-handing it at the Olympics while Vladamir Putin’s Red Army took control of 70% of Europe’s natural gas supply.

No, I don’tblame NATO; I blame the Russians. But I did say that Georgia would be wasting its time to look from any help from NATO.

I guess the only thing the USA is good at is beating up on rag-tag countries that can’t defend themselves.

So much for Shrubs lofty speeches about freedom and democracy in our friend and allies beatiful country of Georgia.

Dana> Nor us for that matter. But why not? NATO is just an auxiliary of the US armed forces. Perhaps we should honor the Iraqi’s desire for a time table, draw down some troops and go help out brothers and sisters in democracy in Georgia.

Nate W> Dana is too busy listening to Rush Limbaugh trying to figure out how to respond to that last one.
