If you’re going to whine, make sure you’re not hallucinating first.

Photographer sees his photo cropped to focus on Dick Cheney cutting steak, goes on a rant about “journalistic integrity,” because the image of Dick Cheney cutting steak “implied something sinister, macabre, or even evil.” Of course, Dick Cheney smelling flowers could imply “something sinister, macabre, or even evil.”

In the updated post, Newsweek offers to point out the obvious, but it doesn’t dissuade the man. I guess his original interpretation is simply beyond reproach…and nobody can ever crop a picture of Dick Cheney again. And all photos must include Cheney’s shoes, else it be implied that he walks with cloven hoof.

Hey, whatever, as long as we’re spared another shot of his colostomy bag dangling in his dress slacks. EWW!
