Identify.

If you say a beauty queen who couldn’t hack it as governor of Alaska or tell a scrap of truth to save her life shouldn’t be president, the teabaggers get upright and angry because they “identify” with her.

If you point out “Joe the Plumber” was completely wrong in his attack on Obama and virtually nothing he said about himself was true, the teabaggers get upright and angry because they “identify” with him.

But they’ll shout down an ordinary citizen who lost her daughter and grandchild due to a lack of health care coverage.

I mean, how can you look at that and not feel a wave of revulsion and horror towards these loud, cruel, and stupid people? How can you feel anything but discomfort as you realize these people are holding the health care issue hostage, and one of our two primary political parties?

I guess all I can do is hope these people destroy the Republican Party entirely before they drag the U.S.A. into 37th place on every count.

Anyone who supports the push for ObamaCare is failing to think things through.

The national debt now stands at over $12 trillion and the White House estimates that the cost of servicing the debt will rise to more than $700 billion a year in 2019, up from $202 billion this year. The New York Times suggests that $700 billion annual payment cost may be conservative.

The additional $500 billion a year in interest payments would surpass the combined budgets this year for education, energy, homeland security, plus the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Times observes.

    Group2012: As usual, you’re a complete idiot.

The health care reform bill is projected to reduce the deficit.

Like I’ve said, you just don’t want to realize the smoke and mirrors games Reid/Pelosi/Obama are playing with you.

You’re party before country, party before common sense.

ObamaCare is NOT going to reduce the deficit, even the liberal NY Times says it won’t.

The Senate Democrat ObamaCare bill fails to calculate for example, adding $250 BILLION to Medicare Doctor Payments into their proposal. That the bill will reduce the deficit is a complete lie.

You wrote of reason. How is adding 30+ million people to healthcare roles going to *save* money?

    Brooklyn bridge anyone?

Is there some reason you have to project everything about yourself onto me?

Why don’t you go read the CBO report?

You’re GOP before anything and everything. You’d apparently be happy to see 40K a year keep dying to prevent Obama from gaining a legislative victory.

The bill actually deals with a lot of cost control measures.

    It’s not simply adding coverage.

Of course, when Bush added the unfunded Medicare Part D, which is projected to add trillions to the deficit, you were cool because he was a Republican. As long as you can relate to the man in charge (i.e. an uncurious ignoramus), it’s all good!
