An improving unemployment picture.

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010 @ 10:40 am | Politics

I’m glad to see the administration getting it’s act together and pushing information like this out there. The Obama team’s reluctance to utilize their OFA channels to stay on top of messaging has been disappointing to say the least. When you cut taxes for 95% of the country and only 12% believe that you have they’ve only got themselves to blame because Republicans certainly aren’t going to make the case for you.

A tax credit is not a tax cut. Obama is expecting you to report that extra $20 a week in 2009 with your 2009 tax filing.

    – Today, the unemployment rate is hovering around 9.7%. Obama promised no higher that 8% and a worse case scenerio of 9% when he first took office and pushed the stimulus. Supporters will blindly call that a ‘miscalculation’ by Obama, but I call it a lie based on all the other bogus statements Obama makes day in and day out.

    – Obama continues to use the figure of $787 billion for the total cost of the stimulus package. He used it again today at the birthday celebration. But this massive spending bill has already gone $75 billion over its initial cost estimate bringing the new revised total to $862 billion. Obama knows this, but he used the original figure in speaking to the American public today. More evidence of lying.

    – About half the stimulus money has been spent. Why then did Obama urge passage of the stimulus if so much money in the package was held back? What was the hurry, hmmmmm? More evidence of lying.

    – Obama/Biden claims of saved jobs is complete b.s. There’s no such thing as a saved job, it’s an impossible thing to calculate and the U.S. Labor Department does not do so.

    – Obama/Biden claims of created jobs listed on the recovery.gov website have been debunked, resulting in a lot of it getting pulled from the site.

    – Job loss since this stimulus package went into effect one year ago is approaching 4 million.

    – GDP growth has been largely attributed to government spending, not public sector spending.

    – If things were going sooooooo well, then that half of the stimulus package that hasn’t been spent yet, can be given back to the taxpayer. But no, Obama is keeping it. Heck, Obama could even use it to pay down the national debt, but he’s not going to. What’s that second half of the package planned for? Spiking the 2010 elections in favor of the Democrats.

So the stimulus worked. Glad we could agree on that!

ILLM: How come you’re so stupid you keep coming back here with the same bunch of soundbites, with maybe one new extra bit of propaganda you heard on Limbaugh? Does it really take you that many rough drafts to compose one full comment?

It’s pretty clear you’re a chickenshit liar yourself who has to keep calling other people liars so you don’t weep into your pillow every night. I’d wager that strategy doesn’t always work for you.

By the way, those Coralville Courier Youtube videos have to be some of the worst crap on the internet. You’ve got a face for internet trolling, ya hostile sonovabitch.

What evidence do you have that says that leftover stimulus money gets dropped into the DNC accounts or some backdoor account for ACORN? What’s that second half of the package planned for? Answer: continuing to improve the economic recovery of the United States and give Obama credit for something he deserves. All the people I know who lost their jobs during the recession have now found good jobs because businesses are starting to hire again. I am sure that is just a big coincidence.

Sure, shoot the messenger instead of WAKING UP! Reality: The stimulus package isn’t working.

Where do get off posting all this garbage anyway? You already posted it once. That should be enough. All spammer trolls must die.

  10. Iowa Liberal Lies & Manipulation Says:

This is what happens when liberals lose. They pretend the substance posted to refute their claims doesn’t exist.

Willful ignorance and denial by our *friends* on the left…….

Blind Kool-aid drinkers, children who don’t want to hear the truth.

  11. mike Says:

No, Mike Thayer, we’ve discussed your “substance” several times before and we always come back to the same result. You run off with your tail between your legs and then come back in a week or so with the same recycled talking points and ad homs under a different name.* Liberal or conservative, people like yourself play the same pathetic game. You call names and spout nonsense anonymously until somebody gets tired of listening to you and tells you to fuck off so then you cry like a little girl because of the mean things said to you. Either man up or go sell some chick peas.

Wow, this Thayer guy could project onto a hundred foot screen. Except it would only be an image of a pus-filled carbuncle, the one on Limbaugh’s ass that kept him out of Vietnam.

Since you’re a conservative, Mr. Thayer, you’ve worked hard and earned good health care, so go see a therapist instead of fighting for equal rights for Troll-Americans.

AWESOME: In the first link there, Thayer predicts:
