Graduating a sophomore.

Can anybody explain why their junior and senior years were really that necessary? I’m sure it was a fantastic time for Johnny Football Hero but for most of us we couldn’t wait for it to be over so we could finally get out of town and go to college.

    “Seat time.”

That sums it up. Keep’em in a classroom for 13 years, and pat ourselves on the back. Unfortunately, surpluses of sophomores with the skills to go to college aren’t our problem. Most seniors walk out of their grade-inflated classrooms right into a remedial classroom on campus so they can get up to snuff. On the flip side, if everything is standards based, it might help people focus somewhat.
