This is what you do, because you can’t defend Obama’s record.

Today’s job report from the Labor Department said there were just 80,000 created last month. That’s terrible. It follows a bad month of May, when only 77,000 jobs were created. This is the third consecutive month of weak job growth. From April through June, the economy has produced a paltry average of just 75,000 jobs a month.

  2. Henry Whistler Says:

“This” being what? Showing your candidate explaining how he entered a weak economy and jobs improved over time?

Today’s job numbers are property of the obstructionist Tea Party Republicans who won’t let Obama pass a jobs bill and continue to push for slashing public jobs. Partially because of your ideology, but largely because the Republican Party has proven itself more than willing to damage the American economy to try shaving a few points off Obama’s approval ratings. People must not be stupid enough to completely fall for it, eh?

Meanwhile, Wall Street and the banks are flush with a couple trillion and no job creation. What happened to thirty years of supply side dogma?

  3. George Says:

Why do you continue to lie like you do? It serves what exactly? The GOP led house has passed 30+ jobs bills that the Senate under Harry Reid won’t even entertain.

Your excuse making, your willfull ignorance is a problem. You are NOT a solution to anything. Your so-called leaders lie to you and you take it. Bend over some more huh? It’s like you enjoy being screwed.

Meanwhile, we have another month, another terrible jobs report.

There’s no question that Obama policy sucks. You can’t man up and admit it.

The Obama record – the unemployment rate is over 8 percent. One in four children are on food stamps. One in six Americans live in poverty.

    Henry Whistler, the intellectual coward.

  4. George Says:

In 2008, then Senator Barack Obama said he knew how to fix everything that George W. Bush supposedly broke. He said he had all the answers, that he was going to “fundamentally transform America.”

  5. George Says:

In 2009 Obama said his stimulus package would fix everything.

  6. George Says:

In 2010 he said his “Recovery Summer” plan was the fix.

  7. George Says:

In 2011, while meeting with his Jobs and Competitiveness Council in Durham, N.C., President Obama tried to make the jobless recovery into a joke by saying with a big grin, “Shovel-ready was not as — uh — shovel ready as we expected.”

  8. George Says:

At a June 2012 press conference, King Obama said, “The private sector is doing fine.”

  9. George Says:

When the King took office, there were 11,616,000 people out of work. Today, there are 12,720,000 million people out of work, and that doesn’t even include the number of people who have given up. The King’s court doesn’t count such people anymore.

According to King Obama’s own court, the recession ended 3 years ago folks.

  12. George Says:

Guess what the average unemployment rate is for 2012 – year to date? Answer: 8.2%

  13. George Says:

In Ohio, the Campaigner in Chief fed you a half story when he said, “Businesses have created 4.4 million new jobs over the past 28 months, including 500,000 new manufacturing jobs.”

Once again the COMPLETE story is, when the King took office, there were 11,616,000 people out of work. Today, there are 12,720,000 million people out of work, and that doesn’t even include the number of people who have given up. The King’s court doesn’t count such people anymore.

  14. George Says:

In related news, for the week ended June 30, another 374,000 people filed first time unemployment claims.

374,000 people filed first time unemployment claims last WEEK, and King Obama is trying to tell you 80,000 jobs created last MONTH is, “… a step in the right direction.”

  15. George Says:

    Issue Jan-09 Now
    Unemployment 7.6% 8.2%
    # of people out of work 11,616,000 12,720,000
National Debt $10.6 Trillion $15.7 Trillion
Consumer Price Index (higher # is worse) 211.43 229.815
People on food stamps 31,983,716 46,326,352
    Price of gas $1.84/gal $3.35/gal
    U.S. trade deficit $36.9 Billion $46 Billion
    Misery index (unemployment + inflation) 7.87% 13%

  16. George Says: ENJOYS being lied to by Obama, that, or they’re OK with Obama being inept.

    Obama: Unemployment Would Be 5.6% For $800Billion – It’s 8.2%

The United States Department of Labor released its statistics for June and the economy only added about 80K jobs, leaving unemployment at 8.2%. 150,000 jobs need to be added just so the economy can keep up with population growth. This is a far cry from what Barack Obama projected. Team Obama projected that if Congress passed $800 billion in stimulus that unemployment would be around 5.6% today. Well they took our money and we aren’t even close to that number..

  17. George Says:

Five Million Jobs Still Missing since Recession Ended
U.S. employers added only 80,000 jobs in June, a third straight month of weak hiring that shows the economy is still struggling three years after the recession ended.

The unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.2 percent, the Labor Department said Friday.

The economy added an average of just 75,000 jobs a month in the April-June quarter — one-third of the pace in the first quarter. And for the first six months of 2012, employers added an average of 150,000 jobs a month. That’s fewer than the 161,000 average for the first half of 2011.

“We’re not in a recovery. We never were. You know, 2010 was a crappy year. So was 2011, and 2012 isn’t shaping up much better. This is total economic malaise.” -Mark Belling

  20. Henry Whistler Says:

Seventeen comments in seventeen minutes. Hmmm…

  21. Henry Whistler Says:

So let’s see what you’ve repeated that you learned on Faux News:

30 jobs bills! Man, if only it were remotely true. Mostly a pile of deregulatory crap.

“HR 1633 – Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act of 2011

This bill prevents the EPA from issuing or finalizing regulations revising air quality standards under the Clean Air Act, and excepts farm dust from all references to “particulate matter.””

So air isn’t dirty when the dirt is farm dust. Jobs!

The rest of the list is more of the same. After one of the greatest financial crises of the past century caused by deregulation, the Republicans have offered more deregulation. During a crisis in demand, the Republicans have offered more plans to drive money to the top. Jobs!

    Fantasy #1 dispelled.

  22. Henry Whistler Says:

Various rambling by you about unemployment rates, without any clear picture of how Obama’s policies have affected unemployment. Most credible economists (the ones you hate) rate the stimulus as improving the unemployment rate by about two percent.

Obama rescued Detroit, while Mitt Romney advocated letting Detroit go bankrupt. Millions of jobs saved.

Obama was taken out of context talking about the private sector, which has shown historically consistent growth rates. What’s been different about Obama’s presidency versus, say, Reagan’s or Dubya’s, is that they increased public employment, combating low demand and boosting the economy, whereas Obama’s presidency has seen drastic public sector cuts (as per the wishes of Republicans). The employment rate would be a whole percent point lower had Obama followed the Reagan/Bush model of expanding government.

The 8% prediction: Was not made by Obama, but projected by his advisors very early in his term (in fact, I think before he started), and it was based on a projection that underestimated the scope of the crisis that George Bush left for Obama to fix. They basically said it would go to ten, and the stimulus would bring things down to eight. It would have gone to twelve, but the stimulus brought it down to ten. So the two percent improvement was what was expected, and that came true.

Of course, let’s remember that the stimulus was one-third tax cuts (I’ve yet to hear a Republican acknowledge this), and that it was about half the size most experts thought would be required to right the ship. Republican political pressure kept it small.

There’s something amiss when I point out that Republicans are holding back Obama’s jobs bills, and your response is that Democrats are holding back GOP jobs bills (which aren’t bills). There is broad consensus that Obama’s jobs bills would create jobs. Why aren’t they being passed?

  23. George Says:

Excuse making, redirects, muddy the reality….

    That’s all you can do?

That’s right, you can’t defend Obama’s SHITTY record. Obama lies, you lie in support, you are SCUM.

Of course, let’s remember, you’re a liberal, so that points to default lying.

Undeterred by independent fact-checkers that have debunked the thrust of their claims, the Obama campaign is redoubling attacks on Mitt Romney as an “outsourcer” in a new TV ad airing in eight battleground states.

The 30-second spot — titled “The Problem” — claims Romney condoned the Chinese “taking our jobs and taking a lot of our future.”

“He made a fortune letting it happen,” the narrator says, focusing on Bain Capital outsourcing to China, a country Romney has vowed to challenge as president.

It’s the latest in a steady drumbeat of negative attacks on Romney’s record as a corporate buyout specialist, alleging he profited off of deliberately bankrupting companies and sending jobs overseas.

The inclusion of China in the new ad also comes as Obama tries to bolster his image as a hard-liner against China. On Thursday, the administration lodged a new complaint against China at the World Trade Organization, challenging tariffs on U.S. auto exports. The case coincided with Obama’s campaign bus tour through auto manufacturing country of Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The Romney campaign called the latest ad a continuation of “desperate lies,” citing reports by several independent fact-checkers that have discredited the suggestion that Romney himself had a direct role in relocating U.S. jobs overseas.

“We found no evidence to support the claim that Romney — while he was still running Bain Capital — shipped American jobs overseas,” concluded in a report last month.–abc-news-politics.html

Ladies and gentlemen – I give you Henry Whistler, a liar. Who supports, a liar.

    Amazing (cough).

  24. George Says:

Gosh, look at the above, Obama is campaigning, INSTEAD of working! SHOCKER!

    Henry Whistler is an idiot.

    An incompetent boob.
